The Department of Plastic
Surgery of The Fourth Affiliated Hospital Zhejiang University School of
Medicine is a non-profit institution. The department has set up a surgery
clinic and a laser cosmetic clinic and offers a large number of plastic
surgery, laser, tumor resection and repair services. So far, we have a vigorous
plastic surgery team composed of 2 senior experts, two attending physicians, 7
resident physicians, 4 doctoral students (one of whom is learning the doctoral
programs of materials science and medicine at the same time) and 5 graduate
students. Now, we are undertaking 2 research programs sponsored by the Natural
Science Foundation of China. At present, the department is headed by the head
Tan Weiqiang from The First Affiliated Hospital, Zhejiang University School of
Medicine, who is a doctor, chief physician and Doctoral Supervisor. Tan is
concurrently a member of the Scar and Regenerative Medicine Professional Group
of the Chinese Society of Plastic Surgery, a council member of the Chinese Anti-aging
Society, a member of the Chinese Scar Medicine Society, a member of the Chinese
Laser Cosmetology Society, a member of the aesthetic surgery group of the
Chinese Medical Aesthetics and Cosmetology Society, a member of the Medical
Cosmetic Professional Committee of Zhejiang Province Association of Chinese
Integrative Medicine, the deputy chief of the Dermatologic Surgery Group of the
Medical Aesthetics and Cosmetology Society of Zhejiang Province, and a judicial
expert of Zhejiang Province, etc.
At present, the
department can carry out laser cosmetic surgery, injection cosmetic surgery,
outpatient cosmetic surgery, ward plastic surgery, cosmetic surgery and repair
and reconstruction surgery in an all-round manner.
Introduction to the Department features
(1) Removal of various
pigmented spots, such as chloasma, nevus of Ota, freckles, sunburn (seborrheic
keratosis, senile plaques) and cafe-au-lait spots;
(2) Resection and repair
of benign and malignant tumors on various body surfaces, such as basal cell
carcinoma, squamous cell carcinoma, Bowen's disease, Paget's disease,
fibrosarcoma and verrucous carcinoma;
(3) Plastic surgeries and
reconstructive surgeries: breast plastic surgery (breast augmentation, breast
ptosis correction, breast reduction, etc.), liposuction, autologous fat
augmentation, facial cosmetic surgery (double eyelid surgery, pouch surgery,
rhinoplasty, lip modification, chin augmentation, correction of protruding ears
and cup ears), facial rejuvenation and facial contouring, perineal plastic
surgery (hymen, labia, foreskin), minimally invasive surgery for body odor,
repair of congenital malformations (cleft lip, etc.), scar reconstruction,
organ reconstruction (nasal reconstruction, ear reconstruction, etc.);
