The
Department of Urology was founded in 2015 with clinics and wards open to the
public at the same time. At present, the department is sponsored by the
Department of Urology of The Second Affiliated Hospital of Zhejiang University
School of Medicine. Now, the department has 9 doctors and 1 technician,
including 1 chief physician, 2 associate chief physicians, 2 attending
physicians and 4 resident physicians. Prof. Du Chuanjun, the head of the
Department of Urology of The Second Affiliated Hospital of Zhejiang University
School of Medicine is appointed as the academic leader and one associate chief
physician regularly assigned to the department to act as the executive
director. All physicians are graduates of famous medical schools, have a
master's degree and above and have worked for and received training in
affiliated hospitals of Zhejiang University School of Medicine for years.
At
present, the department has the latest German Siemens external lithotripsy
machine, Olympus ureteroscope and soft mirror system, Olympus plasma
electrotomy mirror, Olympus cystoscope and soft mirror, German Schoelly
percutaneous nephroscope and UMP, German Schoelly ureteroscope and seminal
cystoscope, Lumenis "PowerSuite" holmium laser and prostate holmium
laser enucleation system, Dutch MMS urodynamic testing analyzer, calculus
analyzer and male erection functions tester. By now, we have stepped into the
era of minimally invasive surgery and carry out over 1,000 operations each year
with patients getting recovered quickly and having a short hospitalization
term.
Introduction to the Department features
(1) Minimally invasive treatment of urinary calculi: extracorporeal shock
wave lithotripsy of kidney stones and ureteral stones; holmium laser
lithotripsy and removal under the flexible ureteroscope and hard lens;
percutaneous nephrolithotomy holmium laser lithotripsy and removal; lithotripsy
by incision under the laparoscope.
(2) Laparoscopic surgery: Laparoscopic radical nephrectomy, laparoscopic
partial nephrectomy, laparoscopic and electric resection for radical resection
of renal pelvic carcinoma, ureteral cancer radical surgery, laparoscopic
anatomical adrenalectomy, laparoscopic renal cyst decortication, laparoscopic
radical prostatectomy, laparoscopic varicocele ligation, laparoscopic
pyeloureteroplasty, laparoscopic inferior vena cava ureteroplasty, etc.
(3) Minimally invasive surgery for benign prostatic hyperplasia: prostate
plasma electrotomy; holmium laser enucleation.
(4) Surgical treatment of urinary tumors: tumor laparoscopic surgery,
intraluminal electroresection and open surgery of renal tumors, ureteral
cancer, adrenal tumors, prostate tumors, bladder cancer, etc.
(5) Penis, scrotum and urinary tract diseases: treatment of diseases such
as circumcision, testicular tumor, hydrocele, varicocele, urethral stricture
reconstruction; Female stress urinary incontinence tension-free vaginal tape
(TVT-O).
(6) Diagnosis and treatment of male sexual dysfunction and infertility.
