The
Department of Respiratory Medicine of The Fourth Affiliated Hospital Zhejiang
University School of Medicine is sponsored by the Department of Respiratory
Medicine of Sir Run Run Shaw Hospital Zhejiang University School of Medicine.
Prof. Ying Kejing and the associate chief physician Ruan Wenjing from the
Department of Respiratory Medicine of Sir Run Run Shaw Hospital serves as the
academic leader and executive director of the department respectively. The
chief physicians Shen Huahao, Li Wen and Wang Xuanding from the Department of
Respiratory Medicine of The Second Affiliated Hospital of Zhejiang University
School of Medicine are invited to sit regularly. Now, the department has 12
clinicians, including 2 chief physicians, 2 associate chief physicians, 2
attending physicians and 6 resident physicians. All clinicians have a master's
degree or above and have worked for and received training in affiliated
hospitals of Zhejiang University School of Medicine for years. In addition, the
department has one pulmonary function physician and two pulmonary function
technicians.
The
department has set up clinics, wards, pulmonary function test rooms and
bronchoscopy clinics and has fully carried out respiratory medical diagnosis
and treatment items required by 3A hospitals. The bronchoscopy clinics are
equipped with bronchoscopes BF-260, BF-P260F and BF-IT260, and ultrasound
puncture lens BF-UC260FM. The pulmonary function test rooms are configured with
Jaeger pulmonary function test apparatus and have finished full-set pulmonary
function examinations for over 10,000 patients, including pulmonary ventilation
function test, diffusion function test, bronchial dilation test and bronchial
provocation test, etc. In addition, the polysomnography monitor in the
department can provide sleep-breathing monitoring services for patients.

diagnosis and treatment of chronic airway diseases such as chronic obstructive
pulmonary disease and bronchial asthma;
(2) Standardized
diagnosis and treatment of respiratory infectious diseases;
(3) Standardized
diagnosis and treatment of diffuse pulmonary diseases;
(4) Standardized
diagnosis and treatment of pulmonary vascular diseases such as pulmonary
embolism and pulmonary hypertension;
(5) Comprehensive
diagnosis and treatment of trachea, bronchus and lung tumors;
(6) The pulmonary
function test rooms carry out a complete set of pulmonary function tests, such
as pulmonary ventilation function test, diffusion function test, bronchial
dilation test and bronchial provocation test;
(7) The
bronchoscopy clinics give routine bronchoscopy/ultrasound bronchoscopy
(including sterile brush brushing, alveolar lavage and biopsy, etc.); lung
biopsy by bronchoscopic/ultrasonic bronchoscopic needle aspiration; interventional
treatment of endobronchial tumors and tracheal/bronchial stenosis, such as
bronchoscopic argon plasma coagulation, transbronchial high-frequency
coagulation, cryotherapy and balloon dilatation.
