The Department ofUltrasound Medicine of The Fourth Affiliated Hospital Zhejiang UniversitySchool of Medicine is a key specialty of Yiwu City and now has developed into aclinical platform department that combines diagnosis & treatment anddevelops medical teaching & research. Abdominal, superficial,cardiovascular, maternity, intervention and pediatrics sub-professional groups havebeen further set up.
Thedepartment boasts a talent team of 36 members that is reasonably structuredboth in ages and professional titles, including 7 discipline consultants with 1holding senior title, 2 holding vice senior title and 4 holding middle title,13 resident physicians and 16 physician assistants; employees with master’sdegree or above account for 40%.
Besides,it is equipped with 22 independent ultrasonic equipment rooms that house 103 devicesof all sizes, among which there are some state–of-the-art models from the best brandedcompanies in the world like GE VOLUSON E10/E8, Philips - EPIQ 5, CLASS-C andABVS.
Thedepartment is mainly specialized in the ultrasound-guided interventionaldiagnosis & treatment, ultrasound contrast, three-dimensional ultrasound ofobstetrics and fetal echocardiography. Thyroid angiography, needle biopsy andthyroid tumor radio-frequency techniques among them have reached the leadinglevel of Zhejiang Province.
Atpresent, the department has undertaken 2 national and provincial/ministerialprojects and 5 provincial/departmental projects in Zhejiang Province, andsponsored 4 academic conferences of national, regional and municipal levels.Moreover, it has participated in writing of 1 book and published as many as 8academic papers included in international SCI and core periodicals.
Introduction to the Department features
The Department of Hematology Specialist Clinic is open from Monday to Sunday. In addition, a sub-specialty clinic for four major diseases of the blood is added every week, including chronic myeloid leukemia/myeloproliferative oncology clinic, acute leukemia/MDS specialist clinic, multiple myeloma/lymphoma specialist clinic, and anemia specialist clinic.
At the medical technology level, it has advanced diagnostic equipment such as bone marrow puncture chamber, bone marrow cell morphology diagnosis room, and blood cell separator. It also relies on the flow cytometry of Tianjin Xiehe Institute of Hematology, which ranks first in the field of hematology, and advanced medical equipment such as real-time quantitative PCR, immunosolid phase electrophoresis, and FISH. Using advanced experimental techniques such as molecular biology, cell and molecular genetics, and immunology, the diagnostic accuracy rate is at the leading level in China.
