The Department
of Dermatology of The Fourth Affiliated Hospital Zhejiang University School of
Medicine, formed relying on The Second Affiliated Hospital Zhejiang University
School of Medicine –National Key Specialty Development Unit, is among the first
batch of cosmetics adverse reaction monitoring institutions in Zhejiang Province.
Diagnosis and treatment are carried out here for common skin diseases and
sexually transmitted diseases, especially inflammatory skin diseases such as
psoriasis, autoimmune diseases such as systemic lupus erythematosus, vesiculobullous
diseases, vitiligo, severe drug eruption, allergic dermatitis, sexually
transmitted diseases such as genital warts, cosmetic problems of the skin,
scalp, hair, and nails. Currently equipped with the Lumenis M22 IPL, Carbon
Dioxide Laser, UVB Phototherapy Instrument, 308nm Excimer Laser, Red and Blue Light
Therapeutic Apparatus, Dermatoscope Table, Photodynamic Therapy Device, High-Frequency
Electric Ion Therapeutic Instrument, Microwave Therapy Apparatus, Shu Min Zhi Xing
and Fungal Laboratory, the department carries out examinations such as fungal
examination, skin pathological examination and acupuncture for allergen detection,
and applies dermatologic surgery and cosmetology (laser beauty, chemical
peeling, etc.), desensitization, UVB phototherapy, photodynamics therapy for skin
superficial tumors and precancerous lesions and other techniques. At present,
the department is home to 9 staff members, including 1 chief physician, 1
deputy chief physician, 3 attending physicians, 3 resident physicians and 1
technician and all physicians are with master’s degree or above.
I. With both
specialist clinics and specialist wards, the department is the only unit in
Yiwu that has dermatology wards and is capable of treating all kinds of severe
and difficult skin diseases.
II. The department
conducts rapid skin pathological diagnosis: It is the only unit in the region
that can perform skin pathological diagnosis and has extensive experience in
the diagnosis and treatment of various difficult & severe skin diseases and
rare skin diseases.
III. Skin beauty: For
facial disfigurement such as severe acnes, optimal therapeutic schedule is
developed based on classification and patients’ needs; for sensitive skin, corticosteroid-dependent
dermatitis, it adopts individualized treatment, guiding beauty seekers to
reasonably use skin care products while monitoring and reporting adverse
reactions of cosmetics.
IV. Diagnosis and
treatment of psoriasis and psoriatic arthritis: It attaches great attention to
skin care and is quite experienced in the application of biological agents. It
has been at the domestic leading level in this field.
