The
Department of Orthopedics of the Fourth Affiliated Hospital Zhejiang University
School of Medicine emphasizes diagnosis and treatment of various common orthopedic
diseases, frequently-occurring diseases and stubborn diseases, fully involving
critical techniques in the field of orthopedics. At present, there is 1 chief
physician, 4 associate chief
physicians, 4 attending physicians and 6 resident physicians. All physicians
are awarded doctoral or master’s degree.
The
Department of Orthopedics of the Fourth Affiliated Hospital Zhejiang University
School of Medicine is constructed with the assistance of the Department of Orthopedics
of the Second Affiliated Hospital Zhejiang University School of Medicine, and
composed of general clinic, expert clinic and specialist clinic. The Second
Affiliated Hospital Zhejiang University School of Medicine will send experts to
offer expert clinic service on a regular basis. We aim at forging a regional orthopedics
center with distinct characteristics, and integrate medical treatment,
education and research to provide patients with continuous and high quality
medical service.
Introduction to the Department features
(1) Diagnosis and
treatment of various frequently-occurring diseases, e.g. orthopedic neck-shoulder and
lumbocrural pain, osteoporosis and degenerative disease of the joints.
(2) Diagnosis and
treatment of orthopedic trauma diseases (limb and spinal trauma).
(3) Diagnosis and
treatment of orthopedic periarticular disease (artificial hip and knee
replacement).
(4)
Diagnosis and treatment of degenerative disease of the
spine (cervical spondylosis, lumbar spinal stenosis and protrusion of lumbar
intervertebral disc).
(5) Diagnosis and
treatment of complications associated with orthopedic surgery (infection, endogenous
failure)
(6) Minimally
invasive surgery of joint and spinal diseases, e.g. knee and shoulder
arthroscopy and PTED.
