In August 2018, following years ofpreparation and several days of rigorous quality and safety inspections, ZJU4Hwas awarded with ‘Gold Seal of Approval’ accreditation from the JointCommission International (JCI).

Endorsed by the World Health Organization,JCI awards quality accreditation to only the highest echelon of healthcareproviders in the world. The select hospitals which meet JCI standards measureup to top American and European hospitals in terms of patient care and safety.

In 2017, Laboratory Medicine of ZJU4Hreceived China National Accreditation Service for Conformity AssessmentLaboratory Accreditation Certificate.

What is ISO15189?

ISO 15189 Medical laboratories —Requirements for quality and competence is an international standard thatspecifies the quality management system requirements particular to medicallaboratories. The standard was developed by the International Organization forStandardization's Technical Committee 212 (ISO/TC 212). ISO/TC 212 assigned ISO15189 to a working group to prepare the standard based on the details of ISO/IEC17025:1999 General requirements for the competence of testing and calibrationlaboratories.
