As one of ZhejiangUniversity’s leading academic neurosurgery programs, the Department ofNeurosurgery at the Fourth Affiliated Hospital of ZJU hasbeen dedicated to providing a comprehensive range of services for thediagnosis, treatment, and rehabilitation of the patient with neurosurgicaldisorders. The department of neurosurgery has three seniors and five fellowsspecializing in all phases of neurological surgery. Our department is stronglycommitted to providing deep compassionate patient care and now serves as areferral center at the central region of Zhejiang province.
Dr. Zhang Jianmin isthe Professor and academic leader of the Department of Neurosurgery. He specializedin neurovascular diseases, brain tumor, and epilepsy. He is also the head ofthe Department of Neurosurgery of the Second Affiliated Hospital of ZJU. Dr.Chen Yili graduated from Tokyo University and now is the deputy director of theDepartment of Neurosurgery. As a chief physician, he specialized in functionalneurosurgery, neurovascular diseases.
Our department hasdivided into four groups: cerebrovascular surgery, functional neurosurgery,spine surgery, and brain tumor surgery. The neurosurgical operating rooms areequipped with image-guide stereotaxis, neuro-endoscopy, neurophysiologicalbrain monitoring. These facilities helped us handle complicated cases ofneurosurgery, including intracranial aneurysms, cerebralischemic diseases，trigeminalneuralgia，hemifacialspasm，arteriovenousmalformations, brain tumors and spine diseases. The goal of our team is toprovide excellent care to patients with neurosurgical disorders. At theDepartment of Neurosurgery of the Fourth Affiliated Hospital of ZJU, we areguided by the core value: the patient always comes first.
