The
Department of Neurology of the Fourth Affiliated Hospital Zhejiang University
School of Medicine is one of the key medical disciplines of Yiwu. This is a
discipline with strong technical force and equipped with specialist ward of neurology,
neurology EP room and EEG monitoring ward. There’re at the same time 5 subspeciality
clinics namely cerebral apoplexy, Parkinson's disease, epilepsy, cognitive
disorder and botulinum toxin treatment. Strong points are diagnosis and
treatment of super early thrombolysis of cerebral infarction, interventional
therapy for carotid artery stenosis, intractable epilepsy, Parkinson's disease,
MND, multiple sclerosis, NMOSD, GBS, myasthenia gravis, peripheral neuropathy, hepatolenticular
degeneration and CMT. At present, the Department is composed of 1 associate
chief physician, 7 attending physicians, 4 resident physicians and 4 technicians.
Clinicians are all at or above master’s degree, among which there are 3
doctors, 2 doctoral students and 5 overseas returnees. Nowadays, the Department
owns 1 postgraduate tutor of Neurology of Zhejiang University, 1 new first-rate
physician in Zhejiang medical circle and 2 third-level talents of Yiwu 133 Innovative
Talents Project.
Introduction to the Department features
Genetic
screening of neurogenetic diseases and functional study on virulence gene; establishment
for super early treatment platform and website of acute ischemic stroke (venous
thrombolysis bridged arterial thrombolysis, multi-mode CT/MRI); standardized
diagnosis and treatment of Parkinson's disease and its follow-up visit platform
and DBS; standardized diagnosis and treatment of epilepsy and its follow-up
visit platform and determination of epileptogenic focus; assessment and
treatment of cognitive disorder.
