Currently,
the Laboratory Medicine Center of The Fourth Affiliated Hospital Zhejiang
University School of Medicine has 42 active employees, including 2 senior laboratory
technologists, 10 intermediate laboratory technologists, 6 masters, 5
laboratory physicians, 32 technicians and 10 blood drawers. It has taken charge
of 1 provincial/ministerial project, participated in 2 projects of National
Natural Science Foundation of China and published 6
articles included in SCI and 2 articles included in domestic first-level
periodicals. Two employees in the center were selected as the Outstanding Young
and Middle-Aged Technical Talent of Yiwu Health System and Yiwu 131 Innovative
Talent. It also boasts an excellent team featured by reasonable talent
structure, high work efficiency and good service quality.
Covering an area of 1,800 m2,
the center is equipped with a batch of advanced inspection equipment such as BC
ROBO 8000RFID, Sysmex Automated Hematology System, Sysmex CS-5100 and CS-2100i
(Fully-Automated Coagulation System), Beckman Automatic Biochemical Immunoassay
Line, ABI and Roche Real-Time Fluorescent Quantitative PCRs, Roche Cobas 6000 (ElectroChemiLuminescence
Immunoassay Analyzer), Abbott ARCHITECT i2000 (Chemiluminescence Apparatus) and
BD BACTEC FX200 TOP, and at the same time has developed a laboratory
information management system integrated with the modern information platform
of the hospital.
The department has carried out routine
examinations for more than 500 items and is constantly developing new ones, so
as to serve the needs of clinics, scientific research and teaching. Always
adhering to the tenet of “truth-seeking from the source and quality-oriented”, it
is committed to implementing the quality guideline of the “objectivity &
fairness, accurateness & timeliness, quality service and continuous
improvement” and practicing the service idea of “one
stop, one trip, one paper”, considering it
as our eternal pursuit to meet the clinical and patients’ needs.
Introduction to the Department features
(1) Achieving
accreditation to CNAS ISO 15189 in December 2017, becoming the first hospital
in Yiwu to pass this international review. Its examination report is
internationally accepted.
(2) Management
extension and technical support to promote the “development of a city-wide
health community” and guide the clinical examination of lower health centers.
(3) Conducting examination
for complete items. More than 500 items are regularly examined in the
department, which also cooperates with domestic top third-party independent
laboratories to satisfy the requirements of clinical examination.
(4) Applying preoperative
autologous blood donation (PABD), plasmapheresis and other new techniques,
having successfully saved lives of many patients with syndromes of severe TTP
and hemolytic uremic diseases.
(5) Standardization
management making POCT faster and relevant results more reliable.
(6) Passing the supervision
and review of CNAS ISO15189 on 21 November 2018, taking management control
system of the department to an entirely new level.
(7) The Laboratory
Medicine Center boasts perfect quality management system for medical laboratories
(ISO15189), complete equipment and strong technical strength. It is committed
to providing better services to the people in the middle area of Zhejiang
Province.
