The
Dental Department of The Fourth Affiliated Hospital Zhejiang University School
of Medicine is the hospital’s key development department. By reference to the advanced
model of Stomatology Hospital, Zhejiang University School of Medicine, it fully
combines regional characteristics of Yiwu in the middle of Zhejiang Province
and academic & technical strengths of Zhejiang University with its own advantages
of equipment, becoming increasingly mature in both its business level and
management mode over years of operation. Now it has 1 chief physician, 9
attending physicians and 3 resident physicians, among whom there are 2 doctors
and 11 masters from respectively Zhejiang University, Sun Yat-sen University,
West China School of Medicine, Xiangya School of Medicine and other colleges
and universities. Except 1 who is still accepting the standard training for
resident physicians, the rest have all passed the training of the affiliated
hospitals of Zhejiang University School of medicine, have years of clinical
work experience. They are now proficient in the diagnosis and treatment of
common diseases in dentistry and have treated some difficult cases.
Furthermore, the department has 1 professional technologist, 1 radiologist, 11 medical
assistants and 1 nurse, thus having formed a relatively complete general model
of dentistry.
The department is established with
full assistance of the Stomatology Hospital, Zhejiang University School of
Medicine. The hospital’s President WANG Huiming is the department’s academic
leader who regularly comes to the department to see patients and give
instructions so as to constantly improve the department’s overall level of expertise.
Paying much attention to talent cultivation and department culture
construction, our department has successively completed short-term overseas
learning programs for several doctors and has formulated long-term programs of
studying abroad. Moreover, leveraging the hospital platform, the department has
had close exchanges with the University of Alberta, Canada (Faculty of Medicine
University of Alberta) and Taiwan Shuang Ho Hospital.
Introduction to the Department features
The Department of Hematology Specialist Clinic is open from Monday to Sunday. In addition, a sub-specialty clinic for four major diseases of the blood is added every week, including chronic myeloid leukemia/myeloproliferative oncology clinic, acute leukemia/MDS specialist clinic, multiple myeloma/lymphoma specialist clinic, and anemia specialist clinic.
At the medical technology level, it has advanced diagnostic equipment such as bone marrow puncture chamber, bone marrow cell morphology diagnosis room, and blood cell separator. It also relies on the flow cytometry of Tianjin Xiehe Institute of Hematology, which ranks first in the field of hematology, and advanced medical equipment such as real-time quantitative PCR, immunosolid phase electrophoresis, and FISH. Using advanced experimental techniques such as molecular biology, cell and molecular genetics, and immunology, the diagnostic accuracy rate is at the leading level in China.
