Introduction to the Department of Hematology


The Department of Otolaryngology ofThe Fourth Affiliated Hospital Zhejiang University School of Medicine currentlyhas 12 members, including Yang Beibei, the head of the Department ofOtolaryngology of The Second Affiliated Hospital of Zhejiang University Schoolof Medicine and the academic leader, He Jianguo, associate chief physician andexecutive director of the department, 5 resident physicians, 2 physiciansreceiving standardized training in Hangzhou and 3 technicians. All ourphysicians have a master's degree and above in medicine, and all new staff havereceived standardized training in the Department of Otolaryngology of TheSecond Affiliated Hospital of Zhejiang University School of Medicine/.

We provide the following diagnosisand treatment services:

Otology: diagnosisand treatment of tympanitis, deafness, tinnitus and other common otologicaldiseases; ear microsurgery, including modified mastoidectomy, tympanoplasty,facial nerve decompression, stapes surgery, and cochlear implant surgery; earlyinterventions such as newborn hearing screening and deafness prevention; innerear and lateral skull base surgery in addition to various tympanoplasty andhearing reconstruction surgery related to tympanitis;

Nasology: treatmentof rhinitis, sinusitis, nasal polyps, sinus cysts, benign tumors of the nasalcavity - paranasal sinuses with excellent technology; routine nasal polypsurgery under video nasal endoscope, sinusitis surgery and resection surgery ofnasal, sinus benign tumors and early malignant sinus tumor under endoscope.

Throat-head and necksurgery: all kinds of common tonsil, adenoid, vocal cord polyp surgery, throattumor microsurgery. We have introduced foreign advanced laryngoscope imagingsystem and made active efforts in the early diagnosis and treatment oflaryngeal cancer and hypopharyngeal carcinoma.

Examinations:

Video laryngoscope(ear, nose); pure tone audiometry, acoustic impedance, otoacoustic emission,electrocochleogram, brainstem evoked potentials, etc.



Introduction to the Department features


(1)Modified mastoidectomy, tympanoplasty, facial nerve decompression, stapessurgery, and cochlear implantation for severe sensorineural deafness in thetreatment of tympanitis with ear microsurgery; taking the lead in eustachiantube balloon dilatation.

(2)Routine nasal polyp surgery under video nasal endoscope, sinusitis surgery andresection surgery of nasal, sinus benign tumors and early malignant sinus tumorunder endoscope.
