The Department of Ophthalmology of the Fourth Affiliated Hospital Zhejiang University School of Medicine is a clinical medicine center combining medical treatment, scientific research and education. It is constructed with the aid of the First Affiliated Hospital, Zhejiang University. SHEN Ye, director of Department of Ophthalmology of the First Affiliated Hospital, Zhejiang University acts as our academic leader while chief physician DU Chixin from the First Affiliated Hospital, Zhejiang University is our executive director. Our Department by far has developed into a key discipline of Yiwu.

Department members incorporate two chief physicians, two associate chief physicians, two attending physicians, six resident physicians, five technicians and two full-time nurses. Expert clinic and general clinic are open to the public from Monday to Saturday while available every other week on Sundays.

We are professionally equipped with international sophisticated instruments for ophthalmology, e.g. fundus multiband multipoint laser, OCTA, Lenstar optical biometer, UBM, Germany Zeiss ophthalmic operating microscope, ophthalmic phacoemulsification and vitreous cutting machine, 4^th generation OCT, microcoria fundus picture pick-up system, anterior segment YAG Ophthalmic Photodisruptor, corneal topography, Humphery perimeter, multiple computer automatic optometry, automatic integrated optometry, integrated treatment table and anterior segment picture pick-up system. Other equipment such as Optos ultra wide fundus camera, visual quality analyzer and contrast sensitive eye examination will soon be introduced to Our Department.

Introduction to the Department features

Our regular diagnosis and treatment for ophthalmic diseases include ametropia, keratonosus, cataract, glaucoma, vitreous - retinal diseases, child amblyopia strabismus, ocular plastic surgery, eye traumas, orbital disease eye tumor and ophthalmic hereditary diseases. We also attach importance to accurate diagnosis and treatment of complex ocular surface hyperplastic diseases, personalized cataract extraction combined IOL, integrated corrective treatment of high myopia, orthokeratology lens optometry, AMD treatment, anti-VEGF drug vitreous intraperitoneal and standard treatment of diabetic retinopathy.
