The
Department of Pediatrics of the Fourth Affiliated Hospital Zhejiang University
School of Medicine is a “Joint Children’s Center” co-built by the Fourth
Affiliated Hospital Zhejiang University School of Medicine and the Children’s
Hospital, Zhejiang University School of Medicine. Prof. SHU Qiang, president of
the Children’s Hospital, Zhejiang University School of Medicine concurrently
holds the post of academic leader of Department of Pediatrics of the Fourth
Affiliated Hospital Zhejiang University School of Medicine while YUAN Zhefeng, chief
physician of the Department of Neurology of the Children’s Hospital, Zhejiang
University School of Medicine. Our clinics comprise famous doctor clinic,
expert clinic, general clinic and pediatric nutrition team clinic; there are
totally 30 and 16 beds in General Paediatric Internal Medicine Unit and NICU
respectively, receiving and curing child patients and critically ill newborns
in specialists like pediatric respiratory, gastroenterology, neurology, angiocarpy,
nephrology and endocrinology.
Our
Department now owns 7 chief physicians, 2 associate chief physicians, 2 attending
physicians and 21 resident physicians (where 12 are receiving standardized
training in Hangzhou). Meanwhile, among the physicians, 5 are doctors, 11 are
masters and 3 are doctoral tutors. There is meanwhile a professional nursing team
composed of 38 skilled and considerate nurses.
Our
integrated treatment for neonatal respiratory support, neonatal pulmonary
hypertension, children with extremely low enteral and parenteral nutrition, HIE
mild hypothermia therapy, premature infants and critically ill newborns CFM, severe
hyperbilirubinemia and high-risk infants follow-up are all at the leading level
of China. Furthermore, we are experienced in clinical diagnosis and treatment
of pediatric epilepsy, intracranial infection and other central nervous system
diseases, common diseases, frequently-occurring diseases and critical illnesses
in the field of pneumology, gastroenterology, nephrology and endocrinology.
