Introduction: Mr. Wang graduated from the Dental Department ofZhejiang Medical University (now known as Zhejiang University School ofMedicine) in 1983 and worked in the university thereafter. In 1986, he wasadmitted to the School of Stomatology of West China University of MedicalScience (now known as West China Medical Center, Sichuan Medical University) andsupervised by Professor Wang Motang and Professor Wang Hanzhang, renowned expertsin oral and maxillofacial surgery in China. He obtained the doctoral degree in1991 and went to Oral and Maxillofacial Plastic Surgery and Head and NeckSurgery of German Christian- Albrechts- Universityfor post-doctoral research and clinical further study in 1998. Presently, Mr. Wangserves as the President of Stomatology Hospital, Zhejiang University School ofMedicine, Academic Leader of Dental Dept. of the Fourth AffiliatedHospital Zhejiang University School of Medicine, Vice-Chairman of StomatologyBranch of Chinese Medical Doctor Association, Executive Director of Chinese StomatologicalAssociation, Executive Director of Asian Association of Oral and MaxillofacialSurgery, Executive Director of Asian-Pacific Stomatology ImplantationAssociation, Vice-Chairman of China Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery,Vice-Chairman of Professional Committee of China Stomatological Implantation,Chairman of Zhejiang Stomatological Association, Vice-Chairman of ZhejiangMedical Doctors Association, etc.

Academics andachievements: Mainly engagingin oral and maxillofacial surgery, clinical oral implantology and fundamentalresearch, Mr. Wang was promoted to chief physician in XX and undertook the nationalkey specialty--oral and maxillofacial surgery and provincial key science andtechnology plan project as subject facilitator, one project supported byMinistry of Science and Technology and National Health and Family PlanningCommission of China (now known as National Health Commission of the P.R.C)respectively as the subject facilitator, and one national pilot project of comprehensiveprofessional reform. He has published over 80 papers in journals at home andabroad, won 1 Third Prize for Progress in Science and Technology of ChineseStomatological Association, 2 Second Prizes for Progress in Science andTechnology of Zhejiang Province, 3 Third Prizes for Progress in Science and Technologyof Zhejiang Province and 2 First Prizes of Medical and Health Technology Awardof Zhejiang Province.
